Push and PUll Factors

Picture
Pull and Push factors for westward expansion
Some pull factors (advantages) of expanding to the west are:
-explorers can gain new resources such as gold

-Sell the goods that they find across the world and recieve more income and imports

-Interact with Native Americans and learn from their culture. Some things you might learn are how to make weapons, grow exotic crops, and learn new lifestyles and ceremonies from their culture.

Some push factors (disadvantages) of expanding are:
-wars and chaos starting with Natives
-Like the Roman Empire, America could expand too much and then fall.
-Risk their lives on the unknown, for nobody really knew what was on the other side of the Mississippi
